Ron Sandwith was a longtime Boys and Girls Club of Federal Way advocate and supporter. Ron sat on the local Club Board of Directors for more than 15 years. He sponsored every program he could and generously made monetary donations over-and-over again. The EX3 philosophy of creating opportunities for kids is something Ron cared very deeply about. Ron supported and believed in the Boys and Girls Club Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. With a dedicated vision and hard work from dedicated people and the city of Federal Way, the EX3 Ron Sandwith Teen Center was built, to serve the mission statement to the kids and teens, providing a place for them to Explore, Experience, and Excite!

The EX3 Ron Sandwith Teen Center has the ability to serve over 800 kids daily. EX3 is a place where teens currently 6th through 12th grade can attend daily between the designated hours. The yearly memberships are only $36 dollars. The membership includes access to our drop in activities ranging from indoor basketball, volleyball, badminton, video games, pool, foosball, ping pong, music room, art room, computer room and tons more! Come in and find out more about our activities and offers.

EX3 recognizes that its members are young adults and strives to treat them as such. In order for this to occur, EX3 asks that its members take responsibility for their actions and behave in a manner that makes this environment possible. EX3 members understand that they are responsible for their behavior and will act in a manner that is respectful to themselves and their environment.

EX3 asks that all members refrain from behavior that can be considered:

Dangerous
anything that could hurt yourself or someone else.
Dishonest
anything that involves lying, cheating, or stealing.
Disrespectful
anything that could hurt someone else’s feelings, including talking back to staff, vulgar language, and a poor sport attitude.
Disruptive
anything that prevents the group from completing its activity.
Destructive
anything that could break something that belongs to yourself, another member, or the Club and its equipment.
Behavior Management Procedures
EX3 recognizes that people of all ages make mistakes and mistakes are a part of learning and personal growth. EX3 staff will strive to allow its members to learn from their mistakes by providing youth with opportunities to overcome behaviors that are barriers to personal growth.

The following steps will be taken by EX3 in the event of behavior problems:
STEP 1 Staff will communicate with the individuals involved in an attempt to resolve the situation.
STEP 2 Staff will immediately respond to further behavior from those involved in negative behavior, and consequences for the continued behavior will be implemented. (These may be loss of privileges, service to the Club or removal from the premises)
STEP 3 In the event of continued behavior management issues, the parties involved may be asked to remove themselves from EX3 and Truman High School Property. In the event the member refuses, Federal Way Police may be contacted and a no-trespass order may be issued.
STEP 4 In order to provide a positive and safe environment a Suspension/Loss of Membership may be required for continued negative behavior. Refunds will not be given for suspensions or loss of membership.
